Chief of Staff - Support

LT COLONEL ALLISON POLLITT

Lt. Colonel Allison K. Pollitt is the Missouri Wing Chief of Staff – Support and is responsible as a member of the Wing Command Team for the coordination, supervision, and mentorship of the support staff of the three primary mission areas of Cadet Programs, Emergency Services, and Aerospace Education.

Lt. Colonel Pollitt previously served as the Missouri Wing Assistant Wing Chief of Staff, Assistant Director of Cadet Programs, and Assistant Personnel Officer. She has also served in multiple important roles in the Wisconsin, Washington, Georgia, and Texas Wings.

Lt. Colonel Pollitt was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Milwaukee Area Technical College and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. She currently works as a family practice nurse at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, caring for all branches of service, including dependents and retirees that receive care on post.

Lt. Colonel Pollitt joined Civil Air Patrol as a cadet in 2002 in Wisconsin Wing’s Milwaukee Composite Squadron #5, serving eventually as cadet commander and attaining the Amelia Earhart Award in 2005. She transitioned to senior membership in 2006 and served in a number of important positions in the squadron including Emergency Services Officer and Deputy Commander for Cadets. Subsequent moves saw service with Washington Wing’s Seattle Composite Squadron and Georgia Wing’s Savannah Composite Squadron until settling in Texas Wing initially with the Apollo Composite Squadron before becoming the founding commander of the Bell County Composite Squadron. She moved to Missouri Wing in 2021.

Lt. Colonel Pollitt has served on wing encampment staff for nine years including three years as Wisconsin Wing Basic School Commandant; as well as the staff of the Great Lakes Region Staff College, Southwest Region Cadet Leadership School, Texas Wing Cadet Training & Education Program, and both Southeast Region and North Central Region Cadet Competitions.

Lt. Colonel Pollitt’s Civil Air Patrol Awards include the USAF Organizational Excellence Award, Meritorious Service Award, three Commander’s Commendation Awards, two CAP Achievement Awards, Crisis Service Award, Benjamin O. Davis, Jr. Award, Grover Loening Award, Paul E. Garber Award, and the Gill Robb Wilson Award. She was named the Wisconsin Wing Deputy Commander for Cadets of the Year in 2014. Lt. Colonel Pollitt holds a master rating in Cadet Programs, senior ratings in Emergency Services and Personnel, and technician ratings in Command and Professional Development.

Lt. Colonel Pollitt is married to Jonathan Pollitt, who is currently serving in the U.S. Army and is a former cadet. She is a 26-year member of the Auxiliary to Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (ASUVCW), holding local, state and national level positions including National President for two terms.
