Missouri Wing Unit Tours Wings of Hope
Missouri Wing's St. Louis Composite Squadron visited Wings of Hope to learn about the not-for-profit's mission of providing free air transport to patients needing specialized medical care unavailable locally.
Cadets received a tour of their hangar and got a first-hand view of their aircraft maintenance up close.
Cadets also participated in a STEM activity building a propeller powered aircraft and racing them. Cadets were challenged to create their aircraft with parts available and no instructions. They worked together to experiment with different engineering to figure out how to use the ratios of weight to power to make their planes move faster.
